No such mods, yet.
To me people who like cooking are a bit odd. Why bother if you can eat something as is. Maybe Henry is the same kind of person
But you can pretend you've eaten that chicken, cabbage and skin of water together as a soup when clicking them - technically it's the same thing. It's gonna mix in your stomach anyway, you know.

Yeah true, but the way I imagine it working is when you combine the stuff together into a meal it would give you more benifits or have a higher durability and stuff like that.
That way it would make it worthwhile and not tedious and unnecessary.

Yup that should be a point. There is several games that allowed cook various recipes for benefits (Arx fatalis, Gothic.. from new games Long dark)

The amount of various food in Kingdom come dont make much sense otherwise and should be addressed -same with time how it stays consumable (does not make sense that carrot or onion last same time as bread..)

And at first place there is so many "auto-filling" pots that player has no reason bother with geting/carrying/eating any inventory food - dont think this make it well too.

I'm not ready for hardcore, but it's ridiculous how much coding is put into food and it just doesn't matter. All of KCD Food, except potions, could be reduced to apples, dried fruit, and pots for all I get out of it.

It should take time and $$$ to eat from a pot, they should be in private areas, and be subject to a Guard confrontation for violating the...rules.

Course I'm also at the point where I'm going to start farming Guard confrontations to up Speech skill.

The way i look at it is that in those times, the food was very simple just as the game. A very simple example is in our times, people put the cheese on the bread then eat as one piece. Those times, they have cheese in one hand and bread in the other as they take a bite out of each.

When i eat in-game with the seperate pieces of food, i imagine a meal i would like whether its breakfast, lunch, or dinner, if i would like a light or heavy meal, would the taste go well with the food as i know it today, like apple and chicken, i find a combination i would like today as though i was in those times and what was available.

I understand others have different styles of gameplay, just wished to share what i do.

edit: i should add that the devs wanted more in the game but they had to compromise. Like mixing herbs ingredients had to be reduced alot
